Nowadays, propagating death hoaxes is just a routine activity, as some unauthentic sources report the death of Benjamin “BeBe” Winans, an American gospel and R&B artist.
There is no formal statement about his passing from the family or any other reliable source. This news is entirely false, and people are simply circulating stories because it is so simple to disseminate incorrect information to attract people’s attention.
American gospel and R&B singer Benjamin “BeBe” Winans was born on September 17, 1962. He comes from the well-known Winans family, the majority of whom are also gospel musicians. Nine albums have been recorded by Winans, seven of them as BeBe & CeCe Winans with his sister CeCe and one with the three Winans brothers.
Winans made many albums, first as a partnership with his sister CeCe and then as a solo performer. BeBe and his sister CeCe were intriguing as backup vocalists for Jim Bakker’s TV show, The PTL Club. They were accepted after travelling to North Carolina for an audition. The siblings went to PTL’s North Carolina location and remained in the programme for roughly five years.
Due to demand, BeBe and CeCe taped the PTL Records show “Lord Lift Us Up” while they were at PTL. Ultimately, success required another endeavour: a full-blown record. The album performed well on the charts.
BeBe and CeCe Winans, self-titled BeBe & CeCe Winans, Heaven, Different Lifestyles, First Christmas, and Relationships are just a few of the five albums they recorded together after leaving PTL to pursue their singing careers.
In 1995, BeBe and CeCe parted and went their separate ways. But in 2009, they worked together on the album Still. It contained the song “Closer to You”, which won a 2010 Dove Award in the Urban Recorded Song category.
